AVC (Acidente Vascular Cerebral) significa A Vida Continua.

Em 08/012/2009, a Fundação Terra iniciou a construção do Centro de Reabilitação Mens Sana, em Arcoverde. No aniversário dos 27 anos da Fundação Terra  em 08/09/2011, a construção do Centro de Reabilitação foi concluída.

A proposta do Mens Sana é oferecer tratamento de reabilitação a pacientes de baixa renda com lesões psicomotoras, neurológicas e outras paralisias, que residam em um dos treze municípios que integram a 6ª Gerência Regional de Saúde (GERES). Os atendimentos serão conveniados pelo SUS – Sistema Único de Saúde.

As instalações do Mens Sana dispõem de consultórios para fisioterapia, fonoaudiologia, psicologia e terapia ocupacional. Também há salas para atendimento em grupo de terapia ocupacional e psicomotricidade e área especifica para hidroterapia, com piscina aquecida. No primeiro andar do Centro serão realizados os atendimentos ambulatoriais, odontológicos e vacinação, além das jornadas de saúde em benefício da comunidade.

O que é Pentecostes?

Era para os judeus uma festa de grande alegria, pois era a festa das colheitas. Ação de graças pela colheita do trigo. Vinha gente de toda a parte: judeus saudosos que voltavam a Jerusalém, trazendo também pagãos amigos e prosélitos. Eram oferecidas as primícias das colheitas no templo. Era também chamada festa das sete semanas por ser celebrada sete semanas depois da festa da páscoa, no qüinquagésimo dia. Daí o nome Pentecostes, que significa “qüinquagésimo dia”.

No primeiro pentecostes, depois da morte de Jesus, cinqüenta dias depois da páscoa, o Espírito Santo desceu sobre a comunidade cristã de Jerusalém na forma de línguas de fogo; todos ficaram cheios do Espírito Santo e começaram a falar em outras línguas (At 2, 1-4). As primícias da colheita aconteceram naquele dia, pois foram muitos os que se converteram e foram recolhidos para o Reino.

Quem é o Espírito Santo?

O prometido por Jesus: “…ordenou-lhes que não se afastassem de Jerusalém, mas que esperassem a realização da promessa do Pai a qual, disse Ele, ouvistes da minha boca: João batizou com água; vós, porém, sereis batizados com o Espírito Santo dentro de poucos dias” (At 1, 4-5).

Espírito que procede do Pai e do Filho: “quando vier o Paráclito, que vos enviarei da parte do Pai, o Espírito da Verdade que vem do Pai, ele dará testemunho de mim e vós também dareis testemunho…” (Jo 15, 26-27). O Espírito Santo é Deus com o Pai e com o Filho. Sua presença traz consigo o Filho e o Pai. Por Ele somos filhos no Filho e estamos em comunhão com o Pai.

Qual é sua missão?

Introduzir-nos na comunhão do Filho com o Pai, santificando-nos e fazendo-nos filhos com Jesus.

Fortalecer-nos para a missão de testemunhar e anunciar Jesus ao mundo. Para isso recebemos a plenitude de seus dons bem como a capacidade de proclamar a todos a quem somos enviados o Evangelho de Jesus. O Espírito Santo é o AMOR do Pai e do Filho derramado em nossos corações. O amor é fogo que arde, é chama que aquece e é força que aproxima e une. O milagre das línguas é este: tomados pelo amor de Deus os homens passam a viver uma profunda comunhão e entre eles se estabelece a concórdia e a paz destruída pelo orgulho de Babel, raiz da discórdia e da confusão das línguas.

Guiar a Igreja nos caminhos da história para que ela permaneça fiel ao Senhor e encontre sempre de novo os meios de anunciar eficazmente o Evangelho. E isto o Espírito Santo o faz assistindo os pastores, derramando seus carismas sobre todo o Povo e a todos sustentando na missão de testemunhar o Evangelho. É pelo Espírito Santo que Jesus continua presente e atuante na sua Igreja.

Quem o recebe?

Todos os que são batizados e crismados.

Quem dele vive?

 Somente aqueles que procuram guardar a Palavra do Senhor no esforço de conversão, na oração e no empenho em testemunhar e anunciar o Evangelho de Jesus. Quem crê no Espírito Santo e procura viver Dele, é feliz.

Pentecost

731 On the day of Pentecost when the seven weeks of Easter had come to an end, Christ’s Passover is fulfilled in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, manifested, given, and communicated as a divine person: of his fullness, Christ, the Lord, pours out the Spirit in abundance.

732 On that day, the Holy Trinity is fully revealed. Since that day, the Kingdom announced by Christ has been open to those who believe in him: in the humility of the flesh and in faith, they already share in the communion of the Holy Trinity. By his coming, which never ceases, the Holy Spirit causes the world to enter into the “last days,” the time of the Church, the Kingdom already inherited though not yet consummated.

We have seen the true Light, we have received the heavenly Spirit, we have found the true faith: we adore the indivisible Trinity, who has saved us.

The Holy Spirit and the Church

737 The mission of Christ and the Holy Spirit is brought to completion in the Church, which is the Body of Christ and the Temple of the Holy Spirit. This joint mission henceforth brings Christ’s faithful to share in his communion with the Father in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit prepares men and goes out to them with his grace, in order to draw them to Christ. The Spirit manifests the risen Lord to them, recalls his word to them and opens their minds to the understanding of his Death and Resurrection. He makes present the mystery of Christ, supremely in the Eucharist, in order to reconcile them, to bring them into communion with God, that they may “bear much fruit.”

738 Thus the Church’s mission is not an addition to that of Christ and the Holy Spirit, but is its sacrament: in her whole being and in all her members, the Church is sent to announce, bear witness, make present, and spread the mystery of the communion of the Holy Trinity.

742 “Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba! Father!”‘ (Gal 4:6).

743 From the beginning to the end of time, whenever God sends his Son, he always sends his Spirit: their mission is conjoined and inseparable.

744 In the fullness of time the Holy Spirit completes in Mary all the preparations for Christ’s coming among the People of God. By the action of the Holy Spirit in her, the Father gives the world Emmanuel “God-with-us” (Mt 1:23).

745 The Son of God was consecrated as Christ (Messiah) by the anointing of the Holy Spirit at his Incarnation (cf. Ps 2:6-7).

746 By his Death and his Resurrection, Jesus is constituted in glory as Lord and Christ (cf. Acts 2:36). From his fullness, he poured out the Holy Spirit on the apostles and the Church.

747 The Holy Spirit, whom Christ the head pours out on his members, builds, animates, and sanctifies the Church. She is the sacrament of the Holy Trinity’s communion with men.
